Women are emerging in all walks of life; Politicians, Prime Ministers, CEO’s, Directors. Film Actresses, Writers.

Successful film actresses have long complained that when they hit 50 the offers of work dries up.
Just when they are reaching the peak of their talents, there are no good roles.
But is there change in the air?
At the recent Oscars, Actresses, Dame Judy Dench, Dame Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep, were all recognised.
All three were nominated for Golden Globes and Bafta Awards.
Could this be because women are moving into domains traditionally held by men?
Hollywood has more female writers and directors than ever before.
Women are running the movie divisions of Sony, Paramount and DreamWorks.
Is this a sign that we are moving into a time when the masculine and feminine energies are becoming more balanced???

The Sacred Feminine
Re-awakening the Goddess Within.

Because of thousands of years of living in a world dominated by Patriarchal influences, Women and Men have lost the vision of what womanhood means. What it means to be Feminine and what it means to be Divine. We have lost the art of balancing Love and Power, Living in Harmony and Peace.

All to often women today are overwhelmed and stressed with trying to balance careers, motherhood, domestic duties, being a wife and lover. They have forgotten who they are.

Many Women have shifted their energies far into their masculine selves, becoming driven, focused, action and goal orientated, determined, and perfectionists. They have lost the art of balancing themselves with their feminine energies of sensitivity, intuition, harmony, a connection with Mother Nature and the Elements, radiance, open sensuality and flow.

There is however a re-emergence of the sacred Feminine and a huge interest in the Goddess and Goddess studies, Shamanism, Wicca and Women’s Spirituality.

Women are reclaiming the Goddess as a way of regaining their own identities and finding the Goddess Within.

There is a renewed interest in Goddess Artefacts some of which are 30,000 years old or older. The disappearance of Goddess artefacts mirrored life on the planet, the shift away from the Goddess principle and the development of patriarchy.
Although ancient writings and sacred relics indicate that we have had a matrilineal or Goddess time – we have never had a time of balance on earth when Masculine and Feminine principles were both equally honoured.

I believe that we are on the cusp of a new era, where we will see our Universe in a new light.
In Demetra George’s Book; Asteroid Goddesses; she discusses the idea of heavenly discoveries being a reflection of the history of the sacred feminine.

In her book Asteroid Goddesses: The Mythology, Psychology and Astrology of the Re-emerging Feminine.
Demetra George wrote:

“ In esoteric astrology the sighting of a new planet in the solar system corresponds to an activation of a new center of consciousness. More specifically the mythological archetypes who share the same name as the planetary body become active forces in the culture and psychology.”

“In the early 19th century the first of many asteroids was discovered, and named, Ceres (Demeter) after the Greco- Roman Great Mother, Pallas Athena, Vesta (Hestia) and Juno (Hera) all great goddesses.
This discovery has led the way for the re-wakening of the scared feminine energies and the beginning of a new lunation cycle.”

The Sacred Feminine
Re- awakening the Goddess within.

Demetra George is an astrologer and mythographer. She took the known history of the Goddess and placed it within the symbolism of the Moon Goddess. She worked with the idea of the natural rhythms of women’s lives being reflected in the heavens and the concept of a lunation cycle.
Mysteries of the Dark Moon: The Healing Power of the Dark Goddess.

The particular lunation cycle that she adopted for this work had
8 phases.

1. New – dark dawning – seed germinates and sprouts.
2. Crescent – light quickening – first shoots above ground.
3. First Quarter – light and dark in balance, light ascending – stem, roots and leaves.
4. Gibbons – light dominant – Buds.
5. Full – light peaks – flowers.
6. Disseminating – first stirring of the dark – Fruits.
7. Last Quarter – light and dark in balance, dark gaining – Harvest and store.
8. Dark balsamic – depth of dark – plant goes back to seed and lies dormant underground.

She worked with the symbolism of the Moon Goddess and her lunation cycles as being a mirror of an evolving feminine principal. This symbolism was around the cycles of birth, growth, death and renewal. She took the 5000 years of the disappearance of the Goddess energies from the earth and called it the dark phase of the moon within a great lunar cycle. Then allowing for the 8 phases of the moon, she came up with a 40,000-year great lunar cycle. (5000x8 =40,000).
So working with this idea of a full lunation cycle of around 40,000 years, it is suggested that a new cycle began around 38,000 BCE.

Demetra George then goes on to hypothesize that the decline of the Goddess was a natural factor – no one is to blame. The 5000 years of her disappearance corresponds with the Goddess energies decreasing and withdrawing as an inherent aspect of the dark moon phase of a larger lunar cycle. Her own death and destruction needed to occur so that the birth of a new cycle could begin. She went into the darkness in order to distil the wisdom of that cycle into a new seed that would begin a new 40,000 year cycle.

We have been born into an extraordinary time – a momentous time of critical juncture in three great cosmic cycles;
The beginning of a new 40,000 year lunation cycle of the Goddess,
The ending of a 2,300 Year Piscean world age
The closure of an entire 26,000 year processional age.

The rebirth of the Goddess, that Feminine part of us, is awakening globally.
We are in the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the water bearer, a feminine sign.

Remember everything must be born of woman
It is a power the world has forgotten.
It is Nature’s Law.
Woman is the flowering Tree.
